Hana-Kimi, or Hanazakari no Kimitachi E, is a manga and an anime by Hiyasa Nakajo. The title translates to "For You in Full Blossom". It is Shojo, meaning, by definition, that:
1. It appeals to both males and females
2. It tells a story that appeals to the heart and that we can relate to, due to real-live situations
The manga itself has 23 books, plus an epilouge. All of them are out in Japan, but only eight are out in the United States.
Now, you might be asking, "What the heck is this manga about?!?!? I now know some random stuff about it, but what is it?" Yeah, I do kind get off track sometimes, sorry (^.^)* ! Well anyways, here's a breif summary of the manga. I got this from one of the links listed below and edited it a little. Here 'tis!
Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese American girl, just transferred to a boarding school in Japan for one reason: To see (and meet) her idol, Izumi Sano, jump in the high jump. There are just a couple of problems. 1) It ¡s an all boy's school, 2) she has to keep the fact that she's a girl very secret to be able to stay at the school, and 3) several people know her secret anyways.
Ooh, exciting right? Well, this is my favorite manga. It has many memorable characters, and a very sweet storyline with lots of unexpected twists.
